Lotus-Renault Slower Than Rest?

Hi FiA,

I made a serious found regarding Lotus Renault. The Lotus Renault is about 1.7 seconds slower than the rest of the cars in the field. Its no setup issue, its just to much time difference. I tested the scenario on different tracks and there is no doubt about it. So I want to change my team plz.

Hi Dark,

The league has already been through this multiple times backed up with evidence from Codemasters themselves. On equal performance, all of the cars are capable of the same time. But to get that time you have to set up each car in a different manner to get the maximum out of it. Its not that any cars are slower than others on equal performance (not that we know of) its just that a setup for a HRT will not transfer straight over to a Lotus-Renault and vise versa.

well you are right for all cars. But Lotus Renault has a serious issue. Its also mentioned in other forums. I can't find 1.7 seconds with setup ;-)

In response to your appeal,

I have just done a Qualifying Session around Silverstone in the Lotus-Renault with the settings that you gave me and I was able to achieve a 1.25.725 which is more or less the best time I have done, as good as my times that I have done in the Red Bull give or take a couple of tenths.

Was it Lotus or Lotus Renault?

So the car is capable of the time with your setup! You might just need to adapt your driving style a little to get the best out of it
