The New Season

I've heard that pro 2 is getting rid of all assists completely. Can anyone confirm if this is true ?

i can pretty much confirm auto box will be allowed but some want drl gone aswell.if there were a pro3 i would support a drl ban and a steady progression of removing various assist could be enforced.myself and a few others have made the jump from assist because we liked what was available to us.just to get a general idea could all drivers post there views on banning drl.just pro2 drivers as it only effects them.

Well in my opinion the DRL should be removed as we have 3 leagues below Pro2 that should progress towards Pro leagues and it will be no benafit to Pro1 when drivers move up but are still learning without DRL.
The point of this opinion is that you cant be Pro if you cant run without DRL as you have had plenty of time to learn the tracks and auto gearbox should also be removed but I do understand the issue with joypad users.

As a league we have a structure in place that shouldnt be dumbed down but should be impoved on to match the high standard of drivers we have inplace and want to attract in the future.

I agree.DRL must be banned.Normally every assist should be banned from pro2 but i'm ok with auto box.DRL is another matter though...

why MUST drl be banned there was a pro3 last season which allowed it,that was taken away which actually saved pro2 from total collapse.your not looking at the bigger picture,make a pro3 and i will gladly join it.guys who move up from assist leagues already lose 2 major assist and when they make the next big step from pro2 up to pro1 they lose the last 2 major assist.that seems like symatary and logical progression to me.as for anyone who says all assist banned all i can say is "are u outta your mind" remove all assist from pro2 and nxt season will probably start with around 5 drivers.encourage drivers to move with small progressive steps not huge mammouth ones.

Its not a pro league when nearly every assist is on and with promotion being automatic if some1 uses all the assists I feel the jump will be too much for that person but there's not 28 guys on the site that can do no assists if half of pro 2 use drl then you can't remove it if more guys join the site then we can filter the guys that use assists down to pl3 until then 1 full league is better than 2 leagues half full

DRL as you said is a major assist Rob.Especially when the race is a 100% long as it should ALWAYS be.A driver can''relax'' by not having to remember when to brake.To avoid being misunderstood,of course i'll race no matter the rules.This is,as you asked,my opinion.Moody is also right,it's better to have one full grid than a skeleton two.Whatever is to be decided of course i'll support it.Voting is still the best way to make a decision about matters like this i think.

All drivers were told that the assists would be turned off at the end of the season , all drivers were given a season to learn and that also gose for those moving up as people keep moaning in assist leagues .................................."he dosnt use autobox he should be in no assists leagues".........................
Those who want the assists on plane and simple are not pro............sorry feel very stronge about this as one of the drivers that will be in pro 2 next season and if this is going to run child like assists you can keep it.

EVERYONE WAS TOLD ASSISTS OFF AT THE END OFF THE SEASON

I can understand the argument for not having them but in my opinion the auto box is a must for me. For those using a pad it just gets too hectic with various buttons. The drl whilst I use it i would be willing to try without it as I don't actually use its advice I just use it to remind me of upcoming corners. I know the layout of the tracks but if I'm in a close battle then I may not remember that there's a chicane coming up. Also I beg to differ about everyone being told. I wasn't. I only knew because a while back rob told me it was rumoured

Sorry but every driver should read the news posts in his or her league as it was posted telling drivers they had a season before assists were turned off , you have now run a near full season with the assists and I dont see why anyone should be given any longer.

i dnt care bout drl oni assist fo me is gearbox if we after do it manually il after move dwn a league (if thts an option) nt tht i want to n im nt tht gud really wi auto so with manual i dnt even wana no wer ild be.........

Well at the moment with the votes pretty much split, even though you all have your own different opinions, I have to agree with moody, what you going to do? kick all those with DRL down to a full assist leagues? with those ruining DRL maybe you could put them in an even slower car to compensate for the handicap?

Well moving down was the option give by the FIA when assists were removed at the end of the season .

But AL3+2 have been merged, there's no room for people to move down now, no matter what will happen, there's going to be a set of unhappy folks. Is there any way to make both sides happy?

wel if worst cums to worst il sit owt this season and hopefully fo next season there myt be another pl3 so wen u find solution or wat eva i dnt mind if this happens

oh let them remove drl if it makes them happy.vern obviously understands our predicament or else he would of removed it straight away.its easy for some to say remove it when they have never used it.i mean if the race line is such an advantage it will show in testing and those who are suffering without it will no doubt be slower and compensated with a better car.
it seems there is a huge gulf between pro and assist leagues,maybe they should be called league 1 and 2 and so on removing a major assist with each step of the ladder.I just dont want it forgotten that pro3 was disbanded to help pro2,i understand the other side of the argument for people that dont want it,but we need to offer choice until theres enough for a pro3 semi assist league.i use my drl but could learn to live without it but im not quite ready to lose another assist after losing 2 major ones already.
