More mechanical failures would be good. Plus if you run out of fuel, it means you run out totally!! Vibrating flat spots for couple of laps if you have a major lock up. These would be good, but can't wait anyway, can only be better than this pile of shit we've been playing for the last ten months . I STILL FOOKIN HATE IT.

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
I think they should include occasional pit mistakes such as wheels not going on properly, would be annoying in race but a cool addition

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
I can't recall what game it was now. I think 24 Hour LeMans on PS2. But it had a mini game on the pit stops. A meter would fill then drop. You had to hit the button when the meter was in the sweet spot. Too early or too late and the pit crew would struggle getting a wheel on. You could turn it off and it would be random. Most people hated it. I liked it better than just random. But I was pretty good at it.
Random things happening in the game can be frustrating. It's hard enough without your wheel randomly falling off.

Victor Bolea @BoleaF1_18
@T4RG4 Can you Tell me if the cars will be really equitable in online mode at F1 2012?
Steve Hood @T4RG4
@BoleaF1_18 One final test to do but I think cars can again be Equal, yes.
From Steve's Twitter, What do you guys think of this? Will it just be the same as last year? Or finally EQUAL?
The only thing that dissapointed me here is the word "Again" as if its going to be same as last year...

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
A friend has just got back from doing his work experience from Codemasters. He said the amount of people getting behind it was immense - non stop working on the game.
All these features look quite good I have to say but my friend had a quick run on the game whilst he was there saying that the online lag was horrendous. Hopefully this is fixed for the game as lag is the biggest problem i'd say especially in league races. They should also balance out the difference in setup too so that its the gamer that makes the difference. 21st September is the date being whispered around. Actually cannot wait!

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
On Amazon it says the date of release is the 21st September so I would have thought that would be pretty reliable... F1 2012
Also if you want to get it Pre-Ordered to get it on Release day. Get on that link and order it now!

The last two were released the weekend of the Singapore GP and as that's the same date, it's a definite! Thank you to the place near me who'll have it in on the Wednesday

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
Looked through some Tweets from Andy Gray Twitter (Communications Manager at Codemasters) and here is what I got...
- No online free trial mode lobby (Which sounds to me like a lobby you can run around in non stop).
- They have concentrated on online connections.
- If you illegally overtake someone you wont be penalised straight away. You will have the chance to let them back through straight away.
- They may potentially add the 30%, 40% & 75& in a patch (Don't know why they aren't putting it straight in?)

I'm ok with the current setup options. What I hope they change is the way setup effects are different depending on what track you're on. I.E. 11 downforce at Melbourne isn't the same as 11 downforce at Monaco. It should be the same car for every track.
I also hope the difference between high and low downforce is less drastic. Mostly less downforce when set to 11.

F1 VIDEO NEWS: The first #F12012 video will be released on Monday at 10am (UK time). It's worth the wait IMHO.

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
Whether i'll get into trouble for saying this i don't know, but somebody has leaked the Monday video out onto Youtube.. for all those who are interested, don't bother. I would wait for ACTUAL gameplay from Gamescom as the trailer is F1 2011 with just the 2012 cars, there's nothing that special about it.

From what i've read so far, PS3 and X360 are identical.. the AI is miles better, more punishment for going off line (ie Hungary) and off track, low speed cornering is alot tougher but high speed cornering is much easier, lap times ARE realistic to this years real life cars and finally, one pet peeve of mine that's been eradicated.. shifting down, you have to shift down alot more naturally in this years game, no more engine squealing!
Enjoy.

Pretty sure on full sim mode engine wear and gearbox wear will prevent the over revving you wud see going on, hope you can blow yr engine up during a race this time :-)

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
AI Drivers are said to have their own personalities. for example, if Hamilton or maldonado is behind, they are going to be more agressive than others. also if you're behind shumi, he is going to be a lot better at defending than others. Perez better on tyre managment ETC. you get the idea

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
They had the personalities last year but not as detailed i think, i know this because Kobayashi loved to do his banzai moves on me every chance he got videos look good though, that cvg one needs to be better quality though, looks awful in places! xD

kobayashi
So it wasnt just me he had a grudge with lol. He drive like a touring car racer everytime i was behind or alongside him lost count the amount of times he crashed into me

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
Illegal overtake looks very dodgey. He overtook a Sauber at Eau Rouge and then it basically stopped his car and that made him like 2 seconds behind after being like 0.2 seconds behind him orginally.
Hope they sort that!

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
it's better than getting a drive-through penalty for it. the reason he lost so much time was because he didn't slow immediately. big thanks for the vids chickie. looking awesome

Re: F1 2012 Confirmed Features & FAQ's
I do hope the finished game doesnt have the Ai's taking their time to gain their position back like we just saw with Kobayashi cause that was really slow, id expect that on amateur not professional level!
