Well done Ippy on winning the knockout cup!!! Shame Cookster had a incident somewhere as i was hoping on the race been very close at the end with him catching you on new tyres & you staying on old, maybe the pressure got to him with most people expecting him to win, but neverless a strong challenge & win!

So how do you feel & what you gonna spend your £50 voucher on?

No because team principal spends all the teams operating costs on booze and hookers... No wonder why the team is bust for next season

I take it Tardis has been setting a bad example. No wonder you didnt want him in your team for season 1 lol. Razz

Thanks guys, it really was an amazing race, had to hang on to the beast for almost the entire distance.

Using tyre saving tactics for the most part as well, very difficult tactical race.

Cookster didn't have an incident - he pitted Razz

I really really was struggling with the FI car throughout the race, I'm very happy especially compared to my grid position.

I know it was Collisions Off but I felt it was a clean race by everybody anyway. Well done to everybody who took part, it was an excellent occasion.

In response to Steve's question:

"I feel great, the strategy was brilliant and Cookster had amazing pace! My team mate John showed the FI had some underlying pace and it was a great show for the team (have to say that, it's in my contract loool - jokes), I really really enjoyed the opening laps, the back and forth between myself & cookster on contrasting tyre strategies was really fun there were definite sections of the circuit where our driving styles, setups and our cars stood out compared to each other."

"The voucher will hopefully go towards the charity of ipswich1992's DVD collection, maybe a PS3 game if I find something I fancy"

Thanks to the league for giving us this competitve opportunity and environment, well done again to everybody who appeared throughout the stages of the competition.

It was no surprise that one of the TC drivers won. I knew that I didn't have much of a chance and it was going to be very hard nearly impossible. I had to drive on the absolute edge to stay ahead of the TC drivers. It was not my normal driving style as Linden pointed out. I was just trying to get everything out of the car.

It is no secret that TC is faster than no TC, especially when you are able to save the tyres in the way you are able too. A 2 stopper was inevitable. There was absolute no chance of a 1 stopper. So no surprise I finished in 3rd place

Well done to Ipswich for the win

I can sympathise with you m8 i know it wasnt exactly fair, maybe the next knockout should be all assists off as the drivers who deserved to win should of been no assist drivers as they have most talent.

Yeah mean once the tyres go off then it's hard but yoy can save the tyres easier... At India I got primes to do 10 laps.. You cant do that with assists on.. Hiowever it is easier drive the car when the tyres go off with assists on.. Even then though it's difficult as I pointed out... Cookster still had enough pace to get pole on primes and you can't do that without a good setup

All a load of ##### the best one won due to testing the track for 4 weeks simple. Cookster had no chance of winning the race from the start at that track assists can do 1 stop at 40% no assists can't I worked that out in 15 mins of qually theta all I got warm up not knowing the track!!!!! As for me leaving cuz I had enough really! With 6 to go I had good tyres and 3 laps of fuel was on lean the whole race I did Disconnected nice!!!!! I wait the flud of abuse !!!

Yeah I agree Mick. Things have never been too clear in the past and it's punished me too. Ipswich hasn't been practising for this though the only practise we did was a quali session before the race last week and then obviously it was cancelled.
