why am i lagging so much?

There was one point where I passed you with no nose, coasting around the track.

is your PS3 Hard wired or wireless? hardwired is better.
Is your cables all in good condition also check the phone cable the router is plugged into sometimes these get kinked or trapped under appliances or there just old, also extensions dont help.
when was the last time you reset your router and cleared the cache?

what is your Average internet connection speed? do a test in the PS settings.

apart from that your league could try and let you host the next one to see if ppl connection improves.

Never realised how dramatic it looked when I got nudged off first corner

its virgin medias fault i get slow speed in my area there meant to be fixing it soon ill get an enthernet cable and see if that works

An ethernet cable is much better.
