Hey mate. My DFGT suffers from the same thing from time to time. Alls i do is get the hoover/vacume cleaner and suck all dust etc out from the cavity behind the brake pedal. also around the joint as far in as you can. Then a simple wet cloth along the top of the brake pedal and the plastic where the brake meets the plastic on the top.

That should solve things.
Hope this helps Smile

I've been driving for nearly 3 hours after we sorted the pedal. It's working perfectly and also feels more stiff and realistic.as soon as I touch the pedal it starts to brake which it never before. So I'd recommend doing this. The only tricky part is getting the lid back on once you've bent the spring but it took my dad two minutes or so to get it lined up. Don't be afraid to bend it quite hard like the guy said in the video . My dad did this and I was worried I wouldn't be able to push it cause it would be too stiff but it's perfect and feels great.
